Whose Life?

It is common knowledge that the "right to life" is a matter of grand debate - when life begins (in the womb or outside of it).  Should the government protect all people's lives equally, or only those deemed worthy of survival by society?  I found the following commercial both surprising and ironic:

"Human life from its commencement to its close is protected by the common law. In the contemplations of law, life begins when the infant is first able to stir in the womb. By the law, that life is protected." James Wilson, signer of the constitution and the declaration; original justice on the u. s. supreme court

The Speech Obama Should Have Given

John F. Kennedy was a Democrat that understood how to revive an economy.  If Obama would drop socialism as the "answer" to all that ails us and act like a real Democrat - John Kennedy - I'd be tempted into optimism about the next four years.  But something tells me that I'll have to be content listening to great men of the past for inspiration; at least for the near term future.

If you're growing weary of the gloom and doom, listen carefully - to speech that inspires, values freedom, and sees individual Americans and their businesses - not overbloated government - as the ultimate answer to our future prosperity and security.

Creating Wealth for America - Part 2

What is wealth, really?

It's value. 

To create wealth, all we have to do is add value to something, and then either use it or trade it.  Yet when I hear politicans talking about economic fixes these days, I don't hear much discussion about this - the real answer.
