He can't be trusted to tell the truth.
I know, I know, we could level this charge at just about any politician. Half-truths, exaggerations, white lies and flip-flopping go with the territory. So what's different about Obama?
He wants to be the President.
But Bill Clinton got away with it in court. And liberals would claim the Bush Administration got away with it on the war. Don't both sides expect politicans to spin things a bit?
I don't.

I don't.
And there's one person in this race that I actually trust to tell me what he thinks, even if he knows I'll hate hearing it: that's John McCain.
Since the election cycle began (it's been awhile, hasn't it?) I've gotten this impression of the candidates:
Barack Obama's best shot at the White House is to hide the truth about what he believes, what he would really do, and who his best friends are.
Consider as just one example: his black-liberation theology church that preaches hate and prejudice against white Americans CBS News/National Review
John McCain's best shot at the White House is to clearly articulate who he is, what he has accomplished, and stay true to his core principles.
Consider: his long Senate record, his ability to work with both parties, his military service, his belief in free enterprise and personal responsiblity, his passion and love for America.
One guy can only win by hiding truth, the other can only win by exposing it.
Even though McCain has never been my personal favorite for the Republican side, this I know: when he looks into the camera and tells the America people something, he means it.
I can't extend the same trust to Senator Obama. He hasn't earned it, and given his record of radical associations, meager accomplishments, and rampant flip-flops, I don't expect that he ever will. And most importantly, he broke a gentelmen's agreement with his opponent that gave him a signficant financial advantage. When self-interest and the honor of his word came into conflict, Obama chose to do what worked best for him.
When it comes down the key questions of national leadership, who do you really trust to give it to you straight?
A young lawyer from Illinois with virtually no public record of accomplishment, who will promise anything and everything to voters?
An old solider who has fought for and served us for decades, who is even willing to stand against his own party for what he believes is right?
You choose, America.
